SOLID EXPERIENCE, STEADY GROWTH
The Tara Fine Frames brand is a branch of Tara Picture Frames, (formerly Hy-Jo picture frames) which was founded over 30 years ago and was one of the earliest maquiladoras in the picture frame industry. Over the past three decades we have built a reputation as a leading supplier of quality, solid wood readymade frames. In 1990, we became part of Tara Materials, Inc., the oldest and largest manufacturer of artist canvas in the United States. In 1997, we significantly boosted production capacity and efficiency with a move to a new 100,000+ sq. ft.
state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.
In 2002, we changed our name to Tara Picture Frames to reflect our decade-long affiliation with our
parent company, Tara Materials. In October 2003, we expanded once again, moving into a new 83,000 sq. ft. office and distribution warehouse in San Diego, CA.
